Generator installation and maintenance
We install standby generators with a proper changeover switch, so the generator can never feed back into the grid, and we service and repair existing units. Installations are quoted after a site visit; maintenance and repair visits are charged at our booked call-out rates.

Call-out rates
A booked visit goes into the next open slot. An emergency call-out is a separate priority service. Both are paid with a 50% deposit online, and the balance after inspection and your agreement.

A generator makes sense if
- Outages run longer than batteries alone can cover

Battery, starting and electrical checks, with a run under load.

Starting, charging and output faults traced and fixed.
Staying safe
- Never connect a generator to a plug point with a double-adaptor lead. It can feed power back into the grid and kill someone working on the line.
- Only run a generator outdoors. The exhaust can kill in a closed room.

Do I need a changeover switch?
Yes. A changeover switch is the safe way to connect a generator to your DB board, because it stops the generator feeding back into the grid.
Manual or automatic changeover?
Manual is cheaper and works well at home. Automatic switching suits businesses that can't wait for someone to flip a switch.
How much does a generator installation cost?
Installations are quoted after a site visit because sizes and cable runs vary. Servicing and repair visits are charged at the booked call-out rates.
